The story of Cortina Watch starts with Mr. Anthony Lim, who established the company as a humble retail store in Colombo Court in 1972. An enterprising entrepreneur with a deep passion for watches, Mr. Lim grew the company from a family business to a public-listed enterprise in 2002.
Cortina Watch has since firmly established itself as the region’s leading retailer and distributor of luxury watches. From pioneering groundbreaking concepts in its boutiques, to introducing epochal watch and jewellery events that celebrate the best of horology, the company is constantly at the forefront of luxury watch retail, driven by the collective passion, foresight and diligence of our team.

Cortina Watch’s journey is marked by many significant milestones that are a testament to the company’s pursuit of the highest retail standards. After the original store at Colombo Court, Cortina Watch opened the Singapore’s flagship boutique in Raffles City Shopping Centre. Our first overseas expansion came in 1982 with a new retail outlet in the Regent Hotel, located right in the heart of Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Cortina Watch’s presence subsequently established with a succession of boutique openings in Singapore and beyond, including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
Today, Cortina Watch is a listed company on the Singapore Stock Exchange, and one of the most eminent and trusted watch retailers in South-East Asia and East Asia, managing close to 30 boutiques across the region. We continue to seek to expand our retail network in countries and cities with high growth potential.
In 2002, Cortina Watch joined the global network of Official Rolex Retailers authorised to sell and maintain Rolex watches. Rolex and Cortina Watch started our journey together with a presence at our Starhill Gallery boutique in Malaysia.
The partnership was an immediate success and led to the extension of Rolex’s regional presence in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sabah and Bangkok. Our first standalone Rolex boutique was opened in Penang, Malaysia, in 2007, just five years after the partnership was established.
