ROLEX BASELWORLD 2017 Presenting The Latest Oyster & Cellini Collections

Renowned Swiss Watch Maker, Rolex, has unveiled various novelties at the recent Baselworld 2017. Both the newest Oyster and Cellini collections reflect the epitome of excellence, elegance and prestige when it comes to watch-making.
This year Rolex presents a new generation of the diver’s model, the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller, newly updated for its 50th anniversary with a larger 43mm case and new calibre 3235 movement.
The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II was given a new facelift to its dial, enhancing legibility and its aesthetic appeal. While the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 40 was introduced with a bi-directional rotatable bezel adorned with multi-colour sapphires, green tsavorites and a triangular diamond at 12 o’clock. Like its predecessor, it is equipped with the innovative elastomer Oysterflex bracelet, developed and patented by Rolex. It is equipped with calibre 4161, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.
The Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona is introduced in three versions – 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold. These versions are fitted on the innovative Oysterflex bracelet in elastomer reinforced with a metal blade, and are equipped with a monobloc Cerachrom bezel, patented by Rolex, in black ceramic.
The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, an elegant watch for world travellers is now available for the first time in a choice of yellow or white Rolesor, combining 904L steel and 18 ct yellow or white gold. It also has a particularly innovative annual calendar named Saros that requires only one date adjustment a year, when the month changes from February to March; and a month display by means of 12 apertures around the circumference of the dial.
Both men’s and women’s classic Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 and Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust 28 are now available in 904L steel and white Rolesor model. Both are equipped with a new-generation mechanical movement, calibre 3235 and calibre 2236 respectively. Calibre 3235 is a new-generation movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex, and has an optimized blue Parachrom hairspring is fitted to the oscillator, the true heart of the watch. On the other hand, calibre 2236 is equipped with the Rolex-patented Syloxi hairspring in silicon, which offers a superlative level of chronometric performance.
The Cellini Moonphase is an entirely new addition to the collection. Available in 39mm, the Cellini Moonphase is offered in 18 ct Everose gold, featuring an exclusive display of the lunar cycle with a blue enamelled disc at 6 o’clock, with the full moon depicted by a meteorite applique and the new moon by a silver ring. Like all other Oyster collection, the Cellini Moonphase carries the Superlative Chronometer status, ensuring high-precision performance and accuracy.
