For female collectors, 2022 looks to be another exciting year with new models from the brand.
Since 2009, Patek Philippe has vastly expanded its repertoire of female watches for collectors. Today, there’s a complete range of small, medium and high complications for ladies. Whether you’re new to watchmaking or an expert connoisseur, there’s a Patek Philippe for you.
This year, rather than adding new models to its collection, the Manufacture has chosen to offer new versions of its top ladies’ watches. The first of these that we’re discussing is the Ref. 7121/200G Ladies’ Calatrava with Moon Phases.
The Ref. 7121/200G Ladies’ Calatrava with Moon Phases
As the Calatrava celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, Patek Philippe is taking the opportunity to refresh some of its iconic references in the collection. The Ref. 7121/200G is a wonderful example of the Ladies’ Calatrava, with its distinctively slim and straight lugs, exposed screws, curved bezel and case middle.
The original Ref. 7121G was introduced by the brand in 2013 in rose gold. The new reference in white gold sees several refreshments. The brand-new blue sunburst dial is akin to stars in the night sky which shines further with a bezel set with a double row of diamonds using the “Dentelle” setting technique. A small seconds counter and moon phase display are positioned at 6 o’clock, with correctors at the base of the case. It’s driven by the brand’s smallest movement, the Caliber 215 PS LU, a manual-winding, ultra-thin and compact movement that has a power reserve of up to 44 hours. Complete with a shiny blue alligator strap, the jewel watch serves to be suitable both at work and a formal event.
The Ref. 7130R World Time
We’ve mentioned the Ref. 7130R previously and this all-time classic is a beauty in modern and elegant olive green colour, with a polished rose gold case and world time display. Paying homage to rare handcrafts, the finely hand-guillochéd old basket weave motif lets the light play on the dial in a subtle, serene manner that adds depth on top of the sparkle from the diamonds on the bezel.
Joining Patek Philippe’s lineage just as travel resumes across the world, the timepiece proves to be a doubly attractive model to acquire for the year, thanks to the self-winding Caliber 240 HU that sees 2 days of power reserve alongside a city disk and 24-hour disk that displays all 24 time zones. The powerful and reliable movement enclosed in the ultra-thin profile of the latest Ref. 7130R, once again boasts the manufacture’s brilliant micro-engineering and precision.
A New Ref. 4910/1200A-011 Twenty~4 dial
Last but not least is the latest dial refresh of the Twenty~4.The famed timepiece is now available in an olive-green sunburst dial highlighted by a row of 18 diamonds set framing the two verticals of the case, with the brand’s iconic manchette bracelet defining the form of the entire watch. As the colour green continues to trend in watchmaking, this fresh green hue rendition, that presents refinement in a contemporary twist, will definitely be a hit among collectors.
These three model extensions are the first of the releases for ladies this year. We expect to see more from the brand as the year continues. Stay tuned for more.
