Patek Philippe’s Unique Timepiece For Charity
Patek Philippe is and always has been a proud supporter of the battle against muscular dystrophy and has thus created a unique timepiece for the 2021 edition of the Only Watch Auction. This charity is committed to raise funds for the Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as a contribution to the development of therapies against degenerative neuromuscular disorders.
Launched in 2005, the Only Watch auction has since taken place every two years, each time raising significant proceeds for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.
Watch enthusiasts, collectors and Patek Philippe customers have always placed great trust and showed strong support for the Only Watch auctions; they have since 2005 invested substantially in support of the struggle against muscular dystrophy.
On 1 July 2021, at 3 PM Geneva time, Only Watch has unveiled the unique items that all 55 participating brands have created and donated to help fund muscular dystrophy research for the year.
For a good cause, Patek Philippe has presented its one of a kind timepiece – inspired by a historical item currently safeguarded at the Patek Philippe Museum, whose 20th anniversary will also be celebrated this November.

Patek Philippe Complicated Desk Clock Ref. 27000M-001
Complicated Desk Clock Ref. 27001M-001
The complicated desk clock is inspired by the desk clock that was originally produced by Patek Philippe in 1923 for James Ward Packard, an American automobile manufacturer and collector of some of the most complicated Patek Philippe timepieces. The desk clock is wound with a key and equipped with features such as a perpetual calendar, a moon phase and an 8-day power reserve.
As for the new offering proposed for the Only Watch auction, it is a complicated desk clock (Ref. 27001M-001) driven by the new manually-wound caliber 86-135 PEND IRM Q SE. The unique piece also includes a perpetual calendar, moon phases, week-number display, and a power-reserve indication (31 days) adjusted to a precision rate of -1/+1 sec. per day. This exceptional Grande Complication is housed in a sterling silver cabinet with vermeil decorative elements and American walnut inlays. The dimensions are 164.6 x 125 x 76.3mm (~40% larger than the “Packard” desk clock).
The 2021 Only Watch Auction will be held at Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, Geneva on 6 November 2021, 2pm Geneva time. To view the full range of watches available at the auction, visit https://www.onlywatch.com/collection.
