The Bvlgari Octo Roma WorldTimer
Introduced in two different variations, the Geneva Watch Day 2021 novelties are both presented in the all-familiar 41 mm diameter. The Ref. 103481 dons a blue sunburst dial and indicators, with applied brushed rhodium-plated gold hour markers, all encased in a satin-brushed / polished 904L stainless steel. Whereas, a matt black sandblasted dial and indicators embellishes the Ref. 103486, with its hour markers enhanced with Super- LumiNova®, all encased in a sandblasted black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) 904L steel.
A New Integrated Movement
The Bvlgari Octo Roma WorldTimer presents with a novel integrated movement – Calibre BVL257. Established and assembled in-house at Le Sentier, the mechanical self-winding movement comprises of 261 components and has a power reserve of 42 hours.
The layout of the dial embodies a centralized display with functions of the hours, minutes and seconds, and is combined with a double rotating disc on the outer edge: one for the 24 reference cities and another with a 24-hour graduated scale. To enable the reading of the multiple time zones, the functions are adjusted through the screw-lock crown that is finished with a ceramic decoration.
Within a few short years, the elegant, yet understated Octo Roma WorldTimer has established itself as one of the most emblematic and timeless models of 21st century Haute Horlogerie.
