Effortless Elegance: From Business Attire to Evening Glamour - Cortina Watch Malaysia

TUDOR’s 1926 and Clair de Rose dress and jewellery watches are made for the discreet 9-to-5 business-chic and elegant soirees.

Within TUDOR’s expansive repertoire are two timeless collections that stand out for their classic proportions and purist aesthetics, capturing the spirits of fine watchmaking.

Offered in a range of sizes and dial colours to suit all wrists and styles, the elegant 1926 collection is TUDOR’s modern paean to the zeitgeist of early mechanical watchmaking. It is a classic meant to dare. Alongside it, the richly detailed Clair de Rose collection is a reimagination of watchmaking’s enduring signatures. It is also made in a variety of sizes to suit the feminine wrists.

Together, these two collections epitomise TUDOR’s precepts and ideals: Devoted to the classic but reject the status quo. They are constructed to look equally workplace-professional and lounge-cool.

Incorporating cutting-edge technology, innovation and creativity in watchmaking, the watches from the 1926 collection are a nod to the year when the brand was first registered. They straddle mechanical excellence and design sophistication, embodying the traditional values of Swiss watchmaking.

The allure of the 1926 collection is multifaceted. Realised from a single block of robust 316L stainless steel, the rounded case available in a choice of 41, 39, 36 or 28 mm is meticulously finished. It radiates a soft glow, accented with a smooth bezel in steel or a polished bezel in 4N rose gold.

On the surface, the dial exudes a touch of vintage charm with a domed profile juxtaposed with an embossed motif and a smooth minute scale, harking back to TUDOR’s earliest creations.

An example of the brand’s attention to detail, the dial is enriched with a choice of silver, opaline, white and black, with variations possessing applique even-numbered Arabic numerals punctuated with faceted arrow-shaped hour markers, as well as diamond-embellished odd-numbered hour markers for a sparkling dial. The delicate play of light extends to the sword-shaped hands with their matching colours.

More than an accessory that secures the watch, the metal bracelet is integral to the overall design. Comprising seven links of varying size and finish, the bracelet enhances the elegant proportion of the watch. Tracing the curve of the wrist, it elevates the comfort, refinement and practicality of the watch. A leather strap complete with folding clasp and safety catch is offered as an alternative to the steel, or steel and rose gold, bracelet.

At the heart of the 1926 collection is a reliable, precise movement on par with the highest chronometry standards. All models sport the self-winding Calibre T601, with the exception of the smallest 28 mm model, which is paired with the self-winding Calibre T201. All watches boast approximately 38 hours of power reserve. Paired to a screw-down crown and case-back, the watches are waterproof to 100 metres (330 feet), ensuring they are prepared for work and play at any given time.

The updated Clair de Rose collection revisits TUDOR’s signature blue colour, injecting a sense of lunar and floral gracefulness into the jewellery-watch collection previously only available with an opaline dial.

A poetic combination, the name of the collection is inspired by the French term clair de lune, which translates to moonlight, and TUDOR’s historical logo, the rose. Blue, a regal colour, is central to the brand’s aesthetics. It debuted in the TUDOR Submariner in 1969 and has been ever present since, with a different seductive hue making its mark throughout the brand’s impressive line-up.

The hallmark of Clair de Rose is the blue spinel cabochon capping its winding crown. This distinctive element accentuates the watch’s tasteful splendour, striking the perfect balance with elegance and decorum. It enables the wearer to fit comfortably into diverse settings, from business to social.

Crafted exclusively in stainless steel, the Clair de Rose collection is configured in three sizes: 26, 30 and 34 mm. It is paired with a mechanical movement. The spotlight of the collection falls on the caparisoned dial, with delicate decorations in relief and punctuated

with Roman numerals or diamonds. Roofed with a domed Sapphire crystal, the wavy motif radiates from the centre of the dial, growing with intensity and expressively reflecting the passing light.

A mechanical movement palpitates inside the gentle curves of the Clair de Rose case, with the self-winding Calibre T601 introduced into the 34 mm and the Calibre T201 into the 26 and 30 mm models. All possess approximately 38 hours of power reserve.

In a timeless and refined spirit, TUDOR animates the collection with a five-link stainless steel bracelet, endearingly known as the beads-of-rice bracelet. The small links are flawlessly finished and assembled to provide exceptional ergonomics and comfort, and a sophisticated sheen.
