Description
Inspired by historical Minerva classic wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s, the Montblanc Heritage product line combines the elegance of watchmaking's past with today’s bold design codes and technology.
The Montblanc Heritage Pythagore Small Second Limited Edition 148 is equipped with the caliber MB M14.08, inspired by the Minerva Pythagore calibre from 1948 with its recognisable geometric shape. It has been reinterpreted to match visual mathematical aesthetics, with graphical proportions obtained by straight lines and angles calculated on the basis of the “Golden Ratio” discovered by Pythagoras. Every component, visible or not, is finished and decorated by hand, with chamfered edges highlighting both circular graining and "Côtes de Genève". As in the past, it displays a pure and refined Small Second at 6 o'clock. It features a blue dial with lacquer on top, for a distinctive vintage colour-look, and combines several types of finishings: sunray, grené and azuré in the small-seconds counter. The luminescent applied Arabic numerals, indexes and hands increase visibility at night. Moreover, a secret Minerva signature has been added. The Montblanc Heritage Pythagore Small Second Limited Edition 148 is assembled and encased in the Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret by a single watchmaker from beginning to end, making each timepiece a nice watch for collectors and aficionados.
