MB132887 Montblanc Star Legacy
Following the introduction in 2025 of an anthracite-coloured guilloché dial in Montblanc’s flagship Star Legacy line, three additional complications are now added to the Maison’s timeless collection. These include a 36mm Small Second model with diamonds around the sub-dial, and two 42mm models, the classic Moonphase and the Chronograph.
The exploding-star guilloché pattern featured on all three watches is based on the shape of Montblanc's emblem from 1913, a graphic representation of the snow-covered peak of the Mont Blanc mountain as seen from a bird's-eye view. This guilloché pattern moves out onto the dial in waves that cast light and shadow into subtle motion on the wrist.
The anthracite-coloured sfumato finish has become a signature of Montblanc's Star Legacy line, and adorns the 36mm Small Second for the first time. The gradient sfumato finish is reminiscent of that found on many of Montblanc's leather goods, acting as a nod to the Maison’s leather craftsmanship.
All three models feature fully polished stainless steel pebble-shaped cases, the art of which is best observed at the lugs, where "steps" reveal themselves along the curvature toward the strap. A highly polished bezel frames the elegant dials, while an onion crown nods to older pocket watches dating to the early 20th century.
