This Personal Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis which Cortina Holdings Limited and our subsidiaries, (collectively referred to herein as “Cortina Group”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process personal data (“Personal Data”) of persons in accordance with the applicable Personal Data protection laws and regulations. As part of our efforts in implementing the latest policies, practices and processes, we will be reviewing these policies, practices and processes from time to time. We reserve the right to amend the terms of this Policy at our absolute discretion. This Policy, if amended, will be posted on our website. You are encouraged to visit our website from time to time to ensure that you are well informed of our latest policies in relation to Personal Data protection. By continuing to have a relationship or dealings with Cortina Group, you shall be deemed to have accepted this Policy as amended and be bound by the prevailing terms as updated from time to time.
This Policy applies to Personal Data in our possession or under our control, including Personal Data in the possession of organisations which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or otherwise process Personal Data for our purposes. At Cortina Group, safeguarding your Personal Data is our top priority and we take reasonable care and security to protect your personal data.
The purpose of this Policy is to inform you of how we manage Personal Data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore (“PDPA”).
1.1 The PDPA defines Personal Data as data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which an organisation has or is likely to have access.
1.2 Cortina Group considers certain types of Personal Data as “sensitive information”. This includes, but is not limited to, personal details regarding a person's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or affiliations, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership in professional or trade associations or unions, sexual orientation or practices, criminal history, and health information (including genetic and biometric data). Cortina Group generally does not collect sensitive information about individuals. However, should you voluntarily provide us with sensitive information—for example, health-related data such as information about allergies or skin conditions—you are deemed to consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information solely for the purpose for which it was provided if it is reasonable that you would voluntarily provide the information, and in accordance with the provisions of the PDPA. We will handle any sensitive information we receive with reasonable care and in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
1.3 We may use your Personal Data for the following purposes: (a) the purpose for which it was collected (and related purposes which would be reasonably expected by you); (b) purposes to which you have consented; or (c) as otherwise authorized or required by law.
1.4 Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of Personal Data which we may collect from you include your name, contact information such as your address, email address or telephone number, nationality, gender, date of birth, marital status, photographs and other audio-visual information, employment information, education background, and information about your usage of and interaction with our website.
2.1 We may collect Personal Data from our customers, business partners, contractors, employees and other individuals such as job applicants. We would only collect data (a) for which you give, or is deemed to have given consent to the collection; or (b) the collection is required or authorised under the PDPA or any other written law.

4.1 As Cortina Group is an international business, you acknowledge and agree that some information (including Personal Data) may be transferred to regions/countries outside of Singapore in the ordinary cause of our business including to parties located in;
4.2 When Cortina Group discloses personal information outside of Singapore, we will comply with this Policy and the requirements of the Act pertaining to the transfer of Personal Data outside of Singapore, including any guidelines issued by the PDPC. If we do so, we will notify you of the transfer and provide confirmation that the transfer of Personal Data to the recipient is necessary for the purposes of fulfilling our obligations under applicable laws, and that we have taken reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Data so transferred will not be used or disclosed by the recipient for purposes other than as permitted under the PDPA, and your Personal Data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the applicable Personal Data protection laws and regulations of Singapore Additionally, where it is necessary to do so, Cortina Group shall enter into legally binding data sharing agreements with the recipients. In this regard, you confirm that by continuing to have a relationship with or deal with Cortina Group, you have consented or are deemed to have consented to the disclosure by Cortina Group of your Personal Data to the aforesaid recipient(s).
5.1 Subject to applicable data protection legislation, we may disclose your Personal Data without your prior consent in certain situations, including where required by law, or where it is necessary for law enforcement or legal processes.
5.2 Under certain circumstances, we may assume deemed consent from you when you voluntarily provide your Personal Data to us for the stated purpose(s). By providing your Personal Data to us, you acknowledge and agree that you have fully read and understood this Policy, and are consenting to the collection, use, processing and disclosure of your Personal Data as described in this Policy. The exceptions upon which Personal Data may be collected without consent are pursuant to the Second Schedule of the PDPA, which is available at Singapore Statutes Online.
5.3 The purposes listed above may continue to apply even in situations where your relationship with us (for example, pursuant to a contract) has been terminated or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter (including, where applicable, a period to enable us to enforce our rights under any contract with you).
6.1 Direct marketing involves communicating directly with you for the purpose of promoting the sales of goods and services. Direct marketing can be delivered by a range of methods including mail, telephone, email, WhatsApp, Line, REDnote or SMS. We may use and disclose your personal information for the purpose of sending you direct marketing materials where you have consented to us doing so; or it is otherwise permitted by law.
6.2 You can unsubscribe from receiving direct marketing materials from us at any time by contacting us (see section 14 of this policy) or by ticking the unsubscribe box and returning to sender any mail or by utilising the unsubscribe link in our digital communication. We will act upon this information within ten (10) business days of receiving it at our office, or shall otherwise inform you of the time frame by which the withdrawal consent will take place.
7.1 Cortina Group shall make reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks to Personal Data in its possession. Please notify us immediately if you become aware of any breach of security.
7.2 Cortina Group requires our contractors and third parties to keep Personal Data confidential and not to use or disclose it for any purpose other than performing services for us or on our behalf and to comply with this Policy and the requirements of the PDPA.
7.3 While Cortina Group implements security measures to protect your Personal Data, no system can be entirely free from risk. We will continuously review and enhance our security measures to mitigate potential threats and safeguard your data to the extent reasonably possible.
7.4 You should be aware that some information that you upload to our social media pages may be available to be viewed by public. You should use discretion in deciding what information to upload to such sites. Cortina Group is not responsible in any way for the security and/or management of Personal Data shared by individuals with third party websites accessible via links on Cortina Group’s website.
8.1 Cortina Group provides procedures to manage your Personal Data in compliance with applicable regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Your consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data remains valid until withdrawn in writing.
8.2 Please note that we may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
9.1 You must ensure that all Personal Data submitted to us is complete, accurate, true, and correct.
9.2 We will make every reasonable effort to ensure that Personal Data collected by us or on our behalf is accurate and complete.
9.3 We generally rely on Personal Data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your Personal Data is current, complete, and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your Personal Data by informing our Data Protection Officers at the contact details provided in Section 15
10.1 We will only retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) we collected it for and where retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
10.2 To determine the retention period for your Personal Data, we (amongst other things) consider the nature of the Personal Data, the risk of unauthorised use or disclosure of your Personal Data, the purposes for which we process it and the applicable legal requirements.

10.4 Should you require your Personal Data to be deleted from our records, please submit your request in writing via emails provided in section 15.
11.1 Our websites may include links to other websites or other internet sources. Cortina Group cannot control these sites and external sources. Hence, Cortina Group cannot be held responsible for those sites or external sources, and declines any responsibility for the content, advertising, products, services and any other material available on or branching off those sites and external sources. In addition, Cortina Group cannot be held responsible for any damage or losses, true or alleged, deriving from the use or from having trusted the content, or goods and services available on those sites or external sources.
12.1 For individuals residing in the EU, we will obtain your explicit consent (written or electronic) for processing your Personal Data, unless the processing is otherwise permitted under the GDPR.
12.2 We will also obtain your explicit written or electronic consent prior to disclosing any of your personal information, unless such disclosure is permitted without consent under the GDPR.
