  • Does Cortina Watch service all watches?
    Yes, we service all watch brands.

    Cortina Watch is the official agent for H. Moser & Cie. and Franck Muller. If your watch is from another brand and you would prefer to send it to service to the official agent, we will help you in the process.
  • My watch needs servicing, what should I do?
    Please deposit your watch for servicing to any Cortina Watch boutiques or directly to our service centre.
  • How can I check the status of my watch repair?
    Kindly call the service centre or boutique you have deposited your watch. Please prepare your repair chit number given upon sending your watch to repair and/or servicing – we will be able to trace your case.
  • How long does it take to get my watch repaired?
    The duration of watch repair depends on the case.

    For a full maintenance service, it varies from three to six months (subjected to spare parts availability)
  • Is there any warranty after servicing?
    Cortina Watch provides a twelve-month warranty upon completion of servicing.

    The warranty may vary from twelve to twenty-four months depending on the official agent.
  • Is it necessary to service my watch?
    A watch movement requires lubrication to function properly. Indeed, the oil in the movement parts deteriorates and eventually dries up. It may impact the watch’s accuracy in telling time. It is advised to send your watch for servicing every three to five years.
  • How to maintain my watch in perfect condition?
    Please be aware that strong impacts and shocks may cause your watch to malfunction. For example, it can dislocate or wreck the parts in the movement consequently cause the watch to malfunction.

    To prevent a magnetized watch from being deregulated, try to avoid placing it near electric devices which have magnetic fields.
  • How often should I replace the battery of my watch?
    We advise to change the battery of your watch every eighteen months to prevent acid leakage.
  • Why is there water vapour in my glass?
    The water resistance function of your watch is no longer working. The gaskets of your watch function to prevent water from entering the watch movement. With time, these gaskets will harden as they are made of rubber. The hardening of the gasket will cause itself to lose its water resistant function.

    It is advised to send your watch for complete servicing every three to five years, during this process, the gaskets will be replaced, thus restoring its water resistant function. You may send your watch to be diagnosed by our technicians for further details.
